After reading an article in a recent issue of Popular Mechanics I applied the suggestions on changing the DNS addresses accessed by my router.
This can be used by either the Mac or Windows platform and I am pleased with the results.
I opened an account at at no cost and I now can see many details on the sites being contacted on a daily basis. One can block sites and use other tools offered by OpenDNS.

It looks like it does a lot more than just the DNS part, that it includes Parental Controls, Phisching controls and more!

I have a box now that does my filtering and such, but I'm going to check this out.

I have been using it for over two years now and I find it most useful. When I set the filtering to "Moderate", it blocks out all offending material.
