IBM's Lotus Symphony Office Suite (word processor, spreadsheet and presentation software) is available for Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) for free!

So now there is another alternative to OpenOffice and KOffice for Linux users.

Will the added IBM muscle help Ubuntu and Linux in general into the enterprise market? Will Symphony increase compatibility with Microsoft Office?

Regardless, it is good news for Linux!

I've just downloaded it and installed it. Tonight, at the Linux SIG meeting, you can check it out though I haven't had any time to fool with it yet.
