Clonezilla is an awesome Linux-based tool for anybody's toolbox and making it available is important for devices without a CD player.

I just recently used Clonezilla to copy my laptop's hard drive with Windows 7 on it to an external USB drive, and then swapped the hard drive with a (slightly) larger one and cloned it the other way (USB drive to local drive).

Only additional step I did was booting into Ubuntu (could have been one of many LiveCD systems though) and used Gparted to move the 2nd partition to the end of the disk, and expand the first partition to fill up the new, added space.

    Worked beautifully!
